Moriston, just across the road from the grave. A close-up of the
Plaque on the Cairn. "At this spot in
1746 died Roderick Mackenzie an Officer in the Army of
Prince Charles Edward Stuart of the same size and similar
resemblance to his Royal Prince when surrounded and
overpowered by the troops of the Duke of Cumberland
gallantly died in attempting to save his fugitive leader
from further pursuit" Photograph
nicknamed: "Guerrillas in the Mist", a cross between
the famous "Gorillas in the Mist" and Highland Jacobite
Guerillas! Taken
by Mrs Sonia Jacks at the memorial at Roderick Mackenzie's
grave, Glen Moriston in 1995; where Mrs Leitch (a
descendant) laid a wreath to commemorate 250 years since
Roderick's murder by English troops who mistook him for
Bonny Prince Charlie. Originally two photographs which have
been merged into one, showing members of the Clan Mackenzie
Society from Scotland, England and New Zealand and of the
