Clan Mackenzie Territory

Castle Leod in Strathpeffer (15 miles north-west of Inverness) is the home of the Chief of the Clan Mackenzie and Seat of the Clan Mackenzie.

Here is a map showing the regions of control of the Clans circa the end of the 17th Century. The Clan Mackenzie held the largest single area of land of all the clans.
